JEOL JMS700 MStation

The JEOL JMS700 MStation™ is a high resolution double focusing mass spectrometer. This instrument is routinely used for high resolution mass measurement of small molecules. 10ppm mass accuracy is readily attainable, in many case enabling elemental composition to be derived or confirmed.

Features of the instrument include:

  • High resolution (60,000 at 10% valley).
  • High sensitivity (4x10-7 C/μg methyl stearate in EI mode).
  • Fully automated operation with an easy-to-use graphic user interface and built-in diagnostics for all instrument parameters
  • Easy maintenance and reliable operation
  • Excellent linked-scan MS/MS performance
  • Collision chamber for the second field-free region (MIKES)
  • A full range of ionization methods available

Sources available for this instrument are:

  • Atmospheric pressure ionization (API, electrospray)
  • Electron ionization
  • Chemical ionization (CH4, NH3)
  • Fast atom bombardment (Xe atom)
  • Field desorption
